  Overall they're lucky that they are the only liquor store in a wide radius; Liquor prices are competitive but higher than others in an area with less income. Peripheral items are outrageously high. For instance, I mentioned that I needed candied cherries and they quickly obliged - the 8 oz jar cost over $7 but they didn't mention that before quickly scanning and bagging it. Also, the store does not take credit cards for liquor the liquor side of the store and they complain that the liquor agency doesn't leave them enough profitability to afford the 3% credit card processing - I think they sell plenty of cherries at 700% profit to afford that credit card convenience :) Like I said, nice store but they're lucky they are the only game in town or they would be out of business.

  I've been shopping for wine at Pat O'Brien's for at least 15 years. They have a knowledgeable owner and wine buyers, so I'm always confident that my selections will be good. The staff is helpful and will work within whatever price point is your comfort zone. I have shopped for wines in some of the best wine shops from Washington, DC to San Francisco. Only the small size of Pat O'Brien's keeps them from being in the very top tier. Always a pleasure to go there.
